Alternatives to Google Adsense - Part I

Loads of people have begun using Google Adsense, but still - despite its large pool of features and possibilities, some just find it uncertain or not suiting their individual requirement for an advertizing programm. However, thankfully there are plenty of alternatives to Adsense attempting to alleviate some of its shortcomings. Here comes the first part of our list "alternative to Adsense", naming the most noteworthy and remarkable alternative ad programms and providing a short description concerning each one.

This service is very easy to start with and very flexible. It has a large pool of advertisers that compete for clicks on your site, to make sure you generate the highest possible profits for your business and there are plenty of people to pick your specific site. Nevertheless BidClix requires some polish on site contents. But still, very easy, flexible service that also provides real time statistics.

AffiliateSensor provides an easy-to-use interface that lets you customize your ad blocks just as you need them. Throught the google alternate ad url there's also integration with Google Adsense possible, so you can use it as a substitute. You also recieve detailed realtime reporting by page, refferer and clicks by domain.

Many different display formats to choose from (such as XML feeds, DHTML pop-ups, buttons, banners ...) and a huge pool of advertisers! AdHearus isn't just an ad programme ... it is a feature-packed hybrid with conventional advertising technologies. It provides a wide and flexible range of contexual ads like banners, pop-ups, skyscrapers, text-ads or rectangles. You can also display your own ads through rotation if you like to, both on your own site and on other affiliate sites. Includes a great online real time reporting feature.

There are basically two features that make MarketBanker different to other ad programms: First, it lets YOU set the pricing for your site! Second it allows you to allow or reject any link appearing on your site (yes I know, Adsense does a really good job here too considering the URL filters). In the statistic section MarketBanker provides you everything about how your website is doing. The ads are quite similar to the Adsense ads, relatively small and easy to set up.

RealContext is unique - not only because it uses artificial intelligence to find the most relevant ads for your purpose, but also because keywords are selected based on which selections payed off before and which didn't.
